Official news about Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher TV series is pretty hard to come by; there’s been a number of rumors since its announcement, but official confirmation on anything has been slim.
Now, however, it’s been revealed that Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg have both been cast.
The Showrunner of The Witcher TV series, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, has revealed that Freya Allan (of Into The Badlands fame) has been cast as Ciri, and Anya Chalotra (of Wanderlust notoriety) has been cast as Yennefer.
So far, this means that they’ll be starring alongside Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

Both Ciri and Yennefer play prominent roles across the original book, as well as the video game series based on it. With that in mind, it also looks like they’ll both be prominent throughout the TV series, too.
Queen Calanthe will be played by Jodhi May, best known for The Last of the Mohicans. It’s also been revealed that Fringilla will be played by Mimi Ndiweni, of Mr. Selfridge fame.
However, it’s unclear as to who will be playing the rest of the cast. That being said, it should be revealed in the coming weeks.
