Capcom recently confirmed the latest game in their Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Revalations 2, with a teaser trailer. Soon after this announcment, Capcom’s plan to include Claire Redfield in Revelations 2, were revealed by the November issue of GameMaster magazine.
Fans of the Resident Evil series of games should recognize the name Claire Redfield. She appears, or at the very least is mentioned, in most of the Resident Evil games, and is the main character in both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Claire will be returning to a leading role in Revelations 2.
GameMaster’s November issue also contained information about another character who will join Claire: Moira, who is the daughter of another recurring character in the series, Barry Burton.
Moira will assist Claire as they try to survive “on a lonely island located somewhere in the distant sea,” according to the game’s Director Yasuhiro Anba, confirming the move away from the “closed locations” of the cruise liner in Revelations.
The events of Revelations 2 occur sometime between those seen in Resident Evil 5 and 6. The game will release in 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
