I’ll admit, when it was announced last week that Europe would be getting a special limited edition 3DS XL based on The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, I was pretty jealous. It seemed like everywhere but the U.S. saw the release of a ton of limited edition versions of consoles (especially Japan), but now it seemed like Europe would be getting one of the best.
But now it looks like I’ll no longer have a reason to be jealous.
According to a leaked GameStop Black Friday ad, it looks like the bundle will be coming Stateside! It can be seen listed for $219.99 on page eight, next to a Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon 3DS bundle.
It even shows localized packaging! It must be real!
At first the reports were just rumor, given the fact that such an ad, though quite elaborate, could have been faked. But according to a recent report from GoNintendo, GameStop has confirmed the leak is real. Nintendo, when approached, stated: “We have nothing to announce at this time.”
But that’s not the end of the story.
Now there are rumors that the bundle might be a Black Friday special, available on a first-come, first-served basis. If so, I’m sure a lot of people will be disappointed (myself included), because there are many people who either won’t be able to go shopping on Black Friday, or just simply choose to avoid it altogether.
Either way, from the look of things it seems as though The U.S. will be getting the bundle after all. As for whether that sweet musical Zelda chest will be coming to the States? Sadly, we still don’t know. The entire page of the ad the bundle is listed on can be seen below.
