Remember The Stanley Parable? That really strange indie title that was all the rage in 2013, because it gave players so much freedom of choice, had no fourth wall, and actively messed with our heads. And now its designer William Pugh and his team at Crows Crows Crows (a new studio he set up in 2015) are working on another title that looks like it’ll be just as bizarre.
Simply called Accounting, it will be a VR game for Steam that seems to have you visiting the office of Derek Smith, an accountant for Smith and Smitherson. You come across a VR helmet and, upon putting it on, arrive in an absolutely insane world of torture dungeons, desks made from someone’s skeleton and clouds that live in trees and swear at you.
Honestly, it’d be easier for you to understand if you watch the trailer (heads up: it contains strong language).
Crows Crows Crows is also collaborating with a new VR game development studio called Squanchtendo, which was only founded earlier this year by Justin Roiland (co-creator of Rick & Morty) and Tanya Watson (a former employee at Epic Games). Accounting will be their very first video game.
