Dating Service Created Using Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go has made people from all over get together to play the game. Dating website Project Fixup has recognized this, and created a new dating app to capitalize on the growing phenomenon. Today they launched PokeDate, where you can find love through Pokemon.

The site is pretty easy to use. Simply sign up on the PokeDates website, then answer questions about what you look for in a Pokemon partner and state when you’d like to go hunting for Pokemon. PokeDates will then pair you up with someone and schedule a time and place where you and your date will go hunt for Pokemon. Unlike most dating sites, which use algorithms to match people, PokeDates has employees personally set up every match.

Signing up is free using the promo code “POKEDATES2016.” Be warned though — after that it’s $20 per use. The CEO and co-founder of PokeDates, Sarah Press is optimistic, despite the high price value. She said:

“We hope PokéDates will bring singles together to experience the joy of the game and explore their city while getting to know one another.”

Try the site just once. If the date’s bad, at least you’ll get your steps in to hatch that egg by running away from your match.
