DayZ’s Dean Hall Feeling the Heat as Pressures Mount

This DayZ whirlwind has really been getting to mod creator Dean Hall, as Redditors found out.

The 31-year-old games designer took to a DayZ Reddit forum to speak his peace, indicating that he’d thought about calling it quits with DayZ.

Hall, an officer in New Zealand’s army, wrote that during his discharge medical exam this week, docs told him that he had high blood pressure — probably a result of the stresses he’s faced as of late with fans and press aching for information about a standalone DayZ. He adds:

 Some things in life just aren’t worth worrying about.

After that a-ha! moment, Hall decided to keep low-key, if for no other reason than self preservation:

I’ve been getting hammered by a massive amount with requests for information about DayZ release, interviews and my reactions to this and stuff and such – but for my own sanity I retreated and have kept to myself. Right now I’m just at home doing bits and pieces on the DayZ development. The rest of the DayZ team is doing the same.

Hall says that an update will be released once the storm has passed.
