The apocalypse isn't looking so bad in Dead Age 2 thanks to Silent Dreams' multiple enhancements on the original Dead Age formula.

Silent Dreams’ Dead Age 2 is out now on Steam and GOG with a pack full of enhancements to survival, building, and combat. Dead Age 2 is normally $17.99, but Silent Dreams is offering it for $10.79 until March 19.

Dead Age 2 unfolds across a vast, open world where careful resource management is key to reaching the next destination alive. There are more than 80 destinations dotting the wasted landscape, including blown-out diners and abandoned hospitals, and Dead Age 2 adds boats, trains, and more to help navigate.

Zombies aren’t the only dangers lurking in the wilderness. Dead Age 2 features three factions, the military, smugglers, and survivors, and the faction reputation system determines whether they end up as friend or foe.

Being anti-social only gets a lone survivor so far, though. Making friends through communicating and completing quests opens new trade options and unlocks some of Dead Age 2‘s unique endings.

When the fighting does start, Dead Age 2 offers some new twists on the original’s turn-based combat. There’s a front and back row option adding an extra layer of strategy with unit placement, and knowing when to use knockback skills is vital for survival.

Building a base is also key to victory, and Dead Age 2 includes more ways to optimize. Party members take on crafting and construction tasks, and building a strong base unlocks new item recipes. Unlike the original Dead Age, all base tasks take place in 3D.
