With a little less than a month to go before Death Stranding‘s November 8 release date, the ESRB has finally rated the game. Citing “nudity” and “violence” as primary factors, the ESRB has rated Death Stranding “M” for Mature.
The rating isn’t all that surprising considering what we’ve seen of the game so far. We won’t go into the rating details to avoid potential spoilers, of which many allude to the game’s main characters. Those who would like to read the official listing can do so by following the ESRB link at the bottom of this article.
Incidentally, the rating also confirms that there will be gun battles, lots of cursing, and other random Kojima weirdness we’ve not yet seen in trailers.
The ESRB rating is just the latest news that Death Stranding is, in fact, finally releasing. Sure, it’s on the calendar, but it seems a bit odd to say it’s finally (finally) coming. Late last month, the game was certified gold, marking the first significant milestone for Kojima Productions.
Before that, we got an in-depth look at the game with nearly an hour’s worth of footage from the Tokyo Game Show, while the game’s most recent trailer was decidedly less bizarre.
Though November 8 is fast-approaching for the exclusive PS4 title, those looking to pre-order the game can see what’s available here.
