It appears that the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided publisher Square Enix have some explaining to do, along with developers Eidos Montreal, after the release of the new DLC.  Apparently, players cannot download pre-order bonuses to more than one save, but that is not the only thing that has angered casual and faithful Deus Ex players alike. Pre-order bonuses are now ‘single-use only’, meaning that players can access their pre-order bonus content, but are only allowed to transfer said item into one save.

Users over at /r/Deusex/ are just as salty over this bogus microtransactional scam as any reasonable gamer would. By constraining items to a single playthrough, the developers are alienating, or will, their consumer base and ensuring that any future Deus Ex games are not going to be met with the same candor they have had in the past.

What do you think of this? Do you see it as a scam, or a necessary method of ensuring the game is profitable? Let us know in the comments below.
