The second day of the group stage was full of surprises, entertainment, and drama. Only 4 out of 15 matches were drawn today, significantly less compare yesterday. Here is a quick round up of Dota 2 TI5 group stage day 2:
Day 2
The Group A leaders of Day 1 continue their superiority. LGD still leads the group even after a draw with fellow Chinese team Invictus Gaming (iG). While Team Secret finally back to its feet securing total of 10 points. Team Secret manage to win both games 2-0 against Cloud 9 and Ukranian team Natus Vincere (Na’Vi).
Dubbed as the “Dark Horse” of the tournament CompLexity (coL.Dota2), continue to drown Na’Vi on the bottom of the Group A as they trounce them in 2-0 game. Many Na’Vi fans left shocked and concerned for their beloved team.
On the other side, the North American star Evil Geniuses (EG) leads the Group B with their intense match versus Chinese top dog ViCi Gaming (VG) which earns them a fancy 3 points. EG also effortlessly won their match against MvP.Hot6ix.
Empire showed some progress when they finally got their first win. They dominated their match against fellow Russian team Virtus.Pro but lost to the wild card team CDEC.
