With only a few months to go until Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s release, fans are already full of excitement. BioWare still hopes to add to that excitement with the announcement of a multiplayer mode for the game.
According to IGN’s Mitch Dyer, who recently tried out the multiplayer, there are three separate campaigns available with Inquisiton that “have a loose connection” to the main storyline. Apparently, the idea is that the multiplayer missions involve “working for the Inquisitor, running behind-the-scenes Operations with a squad.” Your “squad” will contain four characters, out of twelve possible characters to choose from. The great thing about these characters is that they will actually have their own indivdual identities.
The missions also provide varied gameplay, with the environment slightly each time, and rely on you and your friends playing a balanced party to get things done.
“In my first run through the Elven Ruins, my team fought through a graveyard full of (shared) gold hidden behind doors only accessible by mages. The next time through, the graveyard was replaced by something else with destructible walls only breakable by the brutish kick of a warrior…”
-Mitch Dryer
