Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince isn’t even out yet, and Square Enix has already announced three DLC packs for the upcoming action-adventure RPG. All three will come less than a month after the game’s December 1 release on Nintendo Switch. Here’s what we can expect from them.
Details on the Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince DLC Packs
The three DLC packs will launch on January 12, 2024, via the My Nintendo Store for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Each DLC will be sold on its own, with no packaged editions planned at this time. All three packs will contain a new outfit for Psaro and add new content. No price information has been provided by Square Enix just yet.
The Mole Hunt DLC
- Outfit: Gothic Vestment
The Mole Hunt DLC, unsurprisingly, takes you underground, where you can tame monsters that are otherwise hard to synthesize. You’ll also be able to encounter monsters you’ve previously befriended.
Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym
- Outfit: Cake-Maker’s Clobber
Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym lets you explore various dungeons with unique completion requirements. Defeating the bosses will net you rare items to raise your monsters with.
Treasure Trunks
- Outfit: Monstrous Mail
These chests offer up rare rewards, but you’ll need to be patient to open all of them. There could even be a surprise monster attack, as some chests appear to be similar to mimics.
Those are all the details we have on the DLC packs for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Admittedly, there’s not much information there, and much of it raises more questions than it answers. It has, however, piqued our interest, and we’re excited to learn more. Stay tuned. Until then, learn more about the game’s characters.
