Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights has been given a release date: the 2D action game will officially exit Early Access on June 22, releasing first on PC and Nintendo Switch. It will also see releases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (through backwards compatibility) on July 6. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S release dates are yet to be announced.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights comes from developers Live Wire and Adglobe and publisher Binary Haze Interactive. It’s a dark fantasy Metroidvania in which players guide Priestess Lily through the Kingdom of Land’s End, and bring brutally challenging bosses to their knees.
Along the way, players will face a number of unique enemies, some of them, according to Live Wire and Adglobe, can be conscripted “as equippable companion spirits.”
The game’s Japanese dark fantasy aesthetic, along with its haunting soundtrack, gives Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights an eerie but beautiful atmosphere, something players have especially been enjoying as noted by Binary Haze Interactive CEO Hiroyuki Kobayashi:
Early Access users are in love with the soundtrack and have clamored to see the ending of Ender Lilies. Between the feedback from players, our action-packed gameplay, and the beautiful atmosphere created by Mili’s music and our artists, Ender Lilies will satisfy existing metroidvania fans while bringing new ones into the fold.
