Endless Dungeon, the rogue-lite, team-based action game from Amplitude Studios, has been delayed. Wanting to include more player feedback, the development team has pushed the release to October 19, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. To make up for the delay, new free items will be given to those who pre-order or purchase it on release.
Amplitude Studios has had a particularly strong connection to its community when designing games. Using the Game2Gether platform, the developer welcomes members of the community to share feedback in OpenDev sessions. During these sessions, it became clear more time was needed to implement some of the biggest community concerns, including:
- Multiplayer Improvements
- Area Variety
- Economy and Resource Scarcity
- Meta Progression becoming less random
Amplitude Studios CCO Romain de Waubert said, “Players have always been at the heart of our studio’s philosophy, and releasing Endless Dungeon in October will allow us the extra time to keep working with the community and polishing the game for an amazing day one experience.”
While the delay is disheartening to those who were anticipating playing Endless Dungeon next month, there are a couple of perks to make up for it. Along with having a more polished, less buggy game at release, those who have pre-ordered, are going to pre-order, or purchase the game at release will receive three new skins for Comrade, Shroom, and Fassie.
Those with Closed Beta access from pre-ordering the Last Wish edition will receive more information closer to release. The Closed Beta is currently anticipated to occur in September. Stay tuned for more updates on Endless Dungeon as the new release date gets closer.
