Starting today, a good chunk European PlayStation 3 owners can wander to the ‘TV/Video Services’ section of the XMB and find the YouTube app under ‘My Channels.’ Some countries have been left out of the loop for now, but some of those included may be surprising.
PS3 owners in Denmark, Norway, and Finland will have to wait for the localization in those territories. According to YouTube’s Peter Sherman, the app should be making its way to those countries soon.
The app’s unique interface allows you to link your console with your YouTube account, search for videos, watch your subscriptions’ videos, and remotely use your smartphone to browse what the service has to offer.
Who gets it?
Those of you who have downloaded the app off of the North American PlayStation Store will find nothing new in the European release sans some localization changes.
