In a recent interview with Evolve‘s Creative Director, Phil Rob, it was revealed that all maps in the Evolve DLC will come free of charge. This way, players are not restricted from playing with their buddies for not having the DLC packs.
During the interview with IGN, Rob confirmed that new monsters, hunters, and maps will come in post-release DLC support. Also, players who don’t buy any of the DLC will still be able to play against the monsters or alongside the new hunters. He also added that those who do pre-order the game will receive the first monster DLC pack for free.
Evolve is a multiplayer shooter from Turtle Rock Studios. There are four little players, who are each distinct in ability, and one fifth player who controls the body of the giant, evolving monster. I can say that the closest thing I have seen to this concept would be playing Bowser in the Mario Party games. It’s good to know they aren’t excluding the DLC-less from all the fun.
