Fable Legends, the fifth installment of the popular series, will be coming to PC on Windows 10, and bigger news still – PC users will be able to play across platforms with users of Xbox One.

This is the first time in the history of the Fable franchise that users of different platforms will be able to interact with one another. Lionhead Studio developers are promising an experience that translates well from PC to console and vice versa, “bringing these players together into one community.” This versatility also means that if a user has both systems, everything can be shared between them – character data, items, achievements, and more.

Utilizing DirectX 12 and the Unreal 4 Engine, Fable Legends has stunning visuals, promising fans the most beautiful depiction of Albion they have seen so far.

“All for one…or one takes all.”

If visual appeal isn’t enough, Fable Legends brings even more to the table with the ability to not only play one of four heroes, but the villain as well, having the ability to control armies of monsters and set traps for your opponents in a top-down view, adding a strategy aspect to the four-versus-one RPG.

No official release date has been announced for either version yet, but the Xbox One version is expected to release sometime this year.
