This coming Tuesday, November 18th, the latest game in the Far Cry series releases for both last generation and current generation consoles, as well as PC. Reviews of Far Cry 4 are already starting to appear, like the one done by Imperfect Players, where they finish the game in a little under 15 minutes.
Imperfect Players (and other early reviewers) have found out that Ubisoft included an alternate ending for players that results in the game only lasting about 15 minutes.
You can watch the entire playthrough in the video above, but if you would rather not know exactly what happens, and still want to know how to access the alternate ending, here’s how you get it:
In Far Cry 4 you play as Ajay Ghale, who follows the request of his recently deceased mother by taking her ashes to the Himalayan town of Kyrat. If you’ve seen the game’s release trailer, you know that when Ajay gets to Kyrat he is confronted by Pagan Min, the game’s main antagonist, and taken prisoner. Min takes you to his home, where you learn a little more about Min and the situation in Kyrat over dinner. After a few minutes, Min has to leave, but he asks you to stay. Here’s where the alternate ending comes in.
Usually, at this point the player is supposed to try to escape, but if you wait around for Min to come back, which takes a little more than 10 minutes, that’s when the alternate ending starts.
