Today, developer Polytron announced that indie hit FEZ will be coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Polytron producer Marie-Christine Bourdua posted on the PlayStation Blog that the game will land on the PlayStation on March 25 in the U.S., while coming out in Europe on March 26.
FEZ will run at 1080p and 60 fps on PS4, and 720p at 60fps on PS3. According to Bourdua, “You wouldn’t think that upping the resolution would make a big difference in a game like ours, where the pixels are the size of Gomez’s fist… but it really does look even crisper and blockier — in a good way.”
There will be no new content (unfortunately), though the lightbar will be utilized on the PS4, which “has been put to the task of bringing a little bit of Fez’s world into your own.” In case you wanted to take Gomez on the go, the game will support cross-saves between all three consoles.
FEZ has sold over 1 million copies so far, and is the recipient of multiple awards. A sequel was in the works, but was canceled when Phil Fish quit the game industry due to the negativity of the business.
