The Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta starts today, and those of you eagerly awaiting the reboot to the Square Enix MMO are one 1015% ready for it to get started. In the meantime, check out these official videos covering the game in motion during a benchmark test and during a developer-run demonstration of game pad usage.
The game pad video gives a look at using a controller on the PC, but also applies to using the Dual Shock on the PlayStation 3 version of the game. You also get some real game play footage on the dawn of the FFXIV: ARR beta, which looks to be one of the most promising MMO events of early 2013.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be launching later this year after an extensive wave of beta phases. With so many promises from Naoki Yoshida and his team, as an MMO player it’s hard not to be excited about the direction they’re taking the game in this reboot.
