Hope you enjoyed three Final Fantasy XIII games because you may be getting just as many Final Fantasy XV games.
It Started with Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. It continued with Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2 and the new upcoming Lightning Returns. Dubbed the Fabula Nova Crystallis Series, This Final Fantasy series of games is a spinoff from the main Final Fantasy series. Hence why this XIII series, to some people, has been dragged out.
Director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that Square Enix expects to produce a number of follow-ups to Final Fantasy XV, and hinted that we may see the publisher’s plans for episodic releases come into play sooner than anticipated. However this is no clarification if this is DLC. Nomura told Famitsu;
While Final Fantasy 15 will have one climax, as a story, we plan to continue it further.
Nomura continued in the interview explaining that the setting would continue beyond just one game. Knowing this, it made it easier to fit in everything the team had done into future episodes. Final Fantasy XV had been in development hell for almost eight years, Nomura felt it wasnt fair to make fans wait as long as they have.
Having you wait a long while for a next title isn’t something we would desire. I deeply apologize for having you wait for so long. I hope that our latest announcement has been able to meet all of your expectations. From this point on, the quality will only be getting better.
Additionally, there is also talk of online capabilities with XV.
Also, we’ve been exploring online capatibilities ever since the shift towards the next-generation hardware was decided.
This quote was grazed over by Nomura in the interview so no explanation was giving on what these “online capabilities” could mean. maybe your party will consist of other online player going through the story as well.
Does this Final Fantasy XV News Excite you? Are you looking forward to a steady stream of XV games coming out through “episodic Instalments”?
