Major Nelson has recently announced the list of games Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download for no additional charge next month. Each month, Xbox’s Games with Gold offers a multitude of games to Xbox Live subscribers on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Here are the games coming in November.
Pneuma: Breath of Life (Xbox One)
Pneuma is an FPX puzzler wherein the player navigates a classically styled mansion while an alleged god monologues as a disembodied voice. Released back in February, Deco Digital’s premiere title received mostly lukewarm reviews, with a score of 63 on Metacritic. While the visuals and narrative were praised, many reviewers found both the narrator and the puzzles irritating. Pneuma: Breath of Life will be available to download for all of November.
Knight Squad (Xbox One)
Described as a fusion between Bomberman and Gauntlet, Chainsawesome Games’ title is a top-down multiplayer game in which players do knightly battle against medieval enemies and each other. Use swords and arrows to defeat your foes and bombs to demolish walls in a PAC-MAN-esque map–or, you know, just blow up your friends. Knight Squad will be available for free starting November 16th.
Dirt 3 (Xbox 360)
Back in 2011, Codemasters’ off-road racer met critical acclaim on the Xbox 360, sporting a score of 87 on Metacritic. Critics applauded Dirt 3 for its hyper-responsive controls, wealth of content, and overall high-octane gameplay. The game features inclement weather, functional terrain, and a price tag of $0 from November 1st through November 15th.
Dungeon Siege III (Xbox 360)
The third installment in Obsidian’s Diablo-esque dungeon crawler had mixed reviews back in 2011. While some praised the game for its polished gameplay, most felt its lackluster story, and disappointing loot kept it from matching the greatness of other titles in the genre. With far superior dungeon crawlers like Diablo III now available, it’s likely many will pass on this free download come November 16th.
