Today, ATLUS has released Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. The title is available at both retail and digitally via the PlayStation Store.
The original Odin Sphere was drama-focused 2D action RPG, originally released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and developed by Vanillaware. The story began when a young girl, Alice found a novel titled “Valkyrie” and started reading. The game featured a narrative intertwining the lives of 5 protagonists and the world of Erion.
Eventually, order among the worlds’ nations crumbled over whom could obtain the all-powerful Cauldron. Whomever wielded its power could control the world. The heroes of the game discovered separately that each nation was willing to capture it by any means necessary.
This remake has improved upon the original title with a number of new features. Leifthrasir has higher resolution visuals and runs at 60 frames per second. Players will now have full control over their character’s growth in both skills and ability. Cross-save capability is also available among each console as well. This is only a few of the many additions the game has received.
Newcomers and fans of the original can experience Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir today.
