The same website that seemingly leaked the Dishonored: Definitive Edition, has done it again. The site has listed Gears of War: Ultimate Edition but the listing has since been pulled.
Just last month reports surfaced that developer Splash Damage is working on a Gears of War remaster for Xbox One. Polygon reported that the remaster would have updated visuals and run at 60 FPS. They even included an image of the supposed updated visuals.
Unlike the Master Chief Collection, which contained 4 Halo games, the Gears of War remaster would just be the original title. Rod Fergusson, head of studio at developer Black Tusk, took to Twitter to deny reports of a Marcus Fenix Collection.
I love the passion, but there’s no Marcus Fenix Collection. We ARE working on other exciting Gears projects. I’ll see you at E3!

The original was released in 2006 and holds an impressive 94 on Metacritic. Next year would mark the 10th anniversary of the iconic game, but it’s yet unknown whether the Ultimate Edition will release this year or next, to coincide with the anniversary.
E3 2015 is just a month away, and it seems like a foregone conclusion that new developer Black Tusk will be revealing Gears of War 4. For further updates on Gears of War and E3, stay tuned to GameSkinny.
