Genshin Impact Kiara Latest Playable Character Announced for 3.7 Update

The newest playable character coming to Genshin Impact is Kiara. Announced on the official Genshin Impact Twitter, Kirara is a Gold Level Courier of the Komaniya Express, and she’ll start delivering parcels in update 3.7, due sometime in May 2023. Here’s what we know about the Youkai character. 

Kirara was originally leaked back in March 2023 with the assumed name Momoka. Speculation was high as rumors ran rampant. With the official announcement, however, we know a bit more. 

Kirara is a Nekomata from Inazuma, which explains her two tails and paws. Though her ears are cute, they’re a headband. Nekomata in Japanese folklore are extremely powerful and intelligent yokai that have two tails. In the world of Genshin Impact, Kirara is the Nekomata, so the in-game history may be different. 

Working as a delivery person for the Komaniya Express, Kirara is known to be agile and fleet-footed, running across rooftops to make sure her packages are delivered on time. She is a Dendro character with the constellation Arcella, which means Little Box in Latin, further confirming the focus on parcel safety and delivery.

So far, there has been no official post about Kiara on the Genshin Impact website, so there’s certainly more information to come. With the 3.7 update still a ways away, and 3.6 kicking off with new events this week, it’s likely more news of Kirara and her kit will be revealed closer to May.
