Apparently there are a lot more folks clamoring for GTAV to hit PC than I thought, as a Change.org petition to do just that has just hit 600,000 signatures.
Word on the street is that a few industry sources have said that GTAV would be released on PC early 2014. Obviously, Rockstar Games has not commented on this, but if I know one thing it’s that PC gamers are like sharks with blood in the water when it comes to games they want ported to PC.
Grand Theft Auto IV was released on consoles before coming to PC. According to Gamespot, a representative for Chip maker Intel kicked up dirt last week when he stated that GTAV won’t be a console-exclusive for much longer.
Check the petitions opening statement below:
GTA games have been a large part of so many people’s lives and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.
Although GTA V on its own holds true to form and is off-the-wall crazy enough to keep me horrifically entertained for hours, I don’t know if my body is even ready to handle all of the potential mods that folks with too much time would make for GTA V. I can safely say that they would all probably be awesome.
On that note… I’ll be right back. If you want to join me, come sign the petition here.
