Halo 5: Guardians will be releasing in the fall of 2015. Bonnie Ross, a general manager at 343, has promised a new Halo game that will be “a bigger effort that Halo 4” and will “take full advantage of Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.” This game in the series will be sporting dedicated servers, a new engine, and 60 frames per second.
Teaser trailers from last years E3 conference already gave us a hint about Guardians, but now it has a time frame for release. While it’s no surprise that another Halo is on the way, specifics are still spotty. On a similar note, Ross also announced a Halo TV series for later this year on the Xbox – it looks like the pile of good news from Microsoft is only growing.
Now that the title has been announced, we can look forward to some detailed reveals about the game at E3 in June.
