Did 343 Industries accidently leak the release date for Halo 5? Social media can be a minefield of PR blunders and marketing missteps, and 343 Industries appears to be the latest victim of social media slip-ups.
343 recently employed eSports coach Michael Cavanagh. Cavanagh boasts a healthy Twitter following, so his first act in his new job was to post a picture of himself and fellow colleagues at 343 Industries on the social networking site.
I’m extremely happy and humbled to join the the 343 Industries team to work on @Halo 5: Guardians! pic.twitter.com/BI7csQK9hR

However, Cavanaugh may not have intended to also include a red LED counter, numbered at 382. This counter could potentially be pointing toward the Halo 5 release date. There is currently no confirmation that the clock is counting down to the release of Halo 5, but the 382 days displayed on the clock would suggest that Halo 5 will be hitting the shelves November 10th 2015. That certainly sounds like a primetime release slot for a game of this caliber.
Microsoft has yet to remove the tweet, possibly due to it being of little importance; however, if this release date is eventually confirmed as true, then it was certainly an interesting first day for Mr. Cavanaugh.
