In the latest issue of Jump! Magazine, we have found out that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be delayed.
The magazine scan shows new in-game screenshots of Naruto’s Son Boruto and Sasuke’s Daughter Sarada in combat as well as artwork of the 2 characters.
The box art for the new game is shown near the bottom left of the scan (Seen below). However, the scan reveals that the game will be delayed until February 4th, 2016. Although this is only for Japan, it is unclear if this will affect the release of the game over here in the West but it is certainly unsettling. On sites such as www.gamestop.com, the release date is set for 12/31/15 but this conflicts with the game apparently releasing this fall. This is a potentially 4 month delay or 2 months if the 12/31/15 release date is correct.
Both regions were to have the game released around the same time this Fall. With no confirmed release date set for the West, this is not a good sign. Perhaps the delay is to include more from the newest movie, Boruto: Naruto The Movie or for another reason such as fine-tuning the game to perfection as many new mechanics have been added this time around.
Hopefully, this doesn’t affect the US release of the game as it is the highly anticipated conclusion to the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and to the main Naruto storyline.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
