Are you still not in the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft closed beta?
Fret not! The open beta of Hearthstone is drawing closer, and you will be able to play it very soon. Zeriyah, the Community Manager on the official Hearthstone forums, has posted new details on the status of the upcoming open beta, as well as some major card changes which should go live later today.
“Thank you so much for continuing to play, test, and give feedback on Hearthstone as the closed beta testing phase begins to draw to a close. We are monitoring card balance over time, and without your continued testing efforts, we wouldn’t have the necessary data we need in order to make changes to cards that may warrant them. This should be our last big set of balance changes; once we go live, we plan to make very few card changes, and only if they are absolutely necessary.”
Some of the cards receiving a tweak in the upcoming patch will include: Blood Imp, Novice Engineer, and Pyroblast. These card tweaks are a welcome addition and hopefully will cut down on the number of one-turn kills that we have seen throughout the course of the beta.
Since this will be the last big update to the game before going live for the open beta, it looks like we could be seeing a huge influx of new players to the game in the coming weeks. However, no date for the open beta has been officially set by Blizzard.
