Over the past couple days, a huge stir was created from a leaked video about a future addition to Nintendo’s Smash Bros. This video showed the ability to select Ubisoft’s Rayman as a playable character. However, the creator of this leak has come forward revealing his identity, and debunking the entire video.
In this new video he posted he goes through every step in the process that was used to create the “leaked” video. It does a very good job at showing how much detail went into creating the video and what steps were involved.
There are some great aspects that can be taken away from this video. One is how easy it can be to get people riled up with some understanding of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. The other is a neat self-promotion trick. By creating these two sequences of videos he was able to both get a large amount of attention to himself, and show off his skills with Adobe Creative Suite. I wouldn’t be too surprised he doesn’t get anyone trying to hire him for a job from all of this attention.
