It’s like a zombie apocalypse, just funnier.
Immune, made by game developer Vidiludi Games and Entertainment, debuted on Steam Early Access this Monday. The game is a tongue-in-cheek take on the post-apocalyptic zombie survival genre that DayZ popularized back in 2012.
The game bills itself as an “open world sandbox MMORPG with PVP/PVE”. And if that wasn’t enough of a mouthful for you, it also features virus-infested zombies, scavenging for tools and food, item crafting, avoiding enemy NPCs, and driving vehicles (see below for a short gameplay trailer).
The game clearly references many elements of DayZ, though with its isometric design and art style more akin to something you might see on Robot Chicken, it may be able carve out a niche in the genre with the appeal of an MMO’s interactive online gameplay.
Fans of the game’s Early Access can now vote for it to be Greenlit. The developer has Immune on sale for $10.
