The wait is nearly over.
Announced on the PlayStation.Blog today by Hello Games’ Sean Murray, No Man’s Sky will officially release on PC and PS4 on June 21, 2016. The game will be a timed console exclusive, meaning Xbox One owners will also get the game at a later date.
This indie darling-turned-blockbuster will come at a not-so-indie price point of $59.99 and will be available for both digital download and retail purchase. Hello Games has worked closely with Sony to produce a physical Blu-ray retail version available on day one.
The digital download is now available for pre-order on GoG, Steam, and Amazon.
Additionally, the game will have a Limited Edition version available for purchase that will include:
- Blu-ray retail copy of No Man’s Sky in a Steelbook case
- 48-page art book
- Exclusive Adventures in No Man’s Sky comic by Dave Gibbons, James Swallow, and Angus McKie
- An in-game starter kit
- Dynamic No Man’s Sky PS4 theme
We do not yet know how much the Limited Edition will cost.
It’s been a long time since our first glimpse of No Man’s Sky in December of 2013, but the wait for this highly-anticipated title is nearly over.
