Earlier today, Sucker Punch developer Brian Fleming took to the PlayStation Blog to announce an upcoming patch for Infamous: Second Son.
According to the post, the patch was created in response to common fan complaints. Fleming also assured that the team would continue to address complaints in future fixes. “We never want to lose sight of how important it is that we listen to all of you,” Fleming stated. “We can always be better.”
The patch in question includes a couple of pretty cool features, which are outlined below.
Change Time-of-Day
After you’ve finished the main campaign, you’ll have the ability to control what time of day it is. A new setting will appear in the option menu to allow players to switch from day to night whenever they want.
HUD On/Off
Players will also be able to toggle the HUD on and off. By hiding those intrusive displays, gameplay will feel more immersive and screenshots will look 100x better.
Cap at 30FPS
The game was designed to be played with an unlocked frame rate, but some people aren’t fans. An option to prevent the game from bumping above 30fps will be available with the new update.
In addition to these new features, Sucker Punch says its working to resolve key bug fixes with the upcoming patch. Fleming says the earliest we can expect this patch is in two weeks – not bad for a game that just came out 10 days ago.
