Injustice: Gods Among Us has started a unique series of videos showcasing the different characters in the game and their playing styles.  Rather than simply show us the different characters using a few of their moves, Netherrealm is actually pitting them against each other in a vote-driven tournament letting us watch the DC icons beat each other senseless.

So far there are two of these videos released.  The first (heading this article) has Batman square off against Bane, while the second pits Wonder Woman against Harley Quinn.

These videos are interesting for several reasons.  The obvious one is that they show off the characters in Injustice and give us all a decent idea of what they are capable of and how they play.  This gives both competitive and casual players an idea of what to expect from their favorite heroes and villains that simply showcasing move sets cannot do.

The second thing it gives is a full view of an entire battle.  By letting us see the entire fight, we can get an even better idea of how fluid the stage mechanics and threats are and how they work into the actual fighting.

Besides, us fighting game fans love watching a good fight.  Injustice: Gods Among Us is doing its promotion right.
