Insanity Rules in Rage 2’s Launch Trailer

Rage 2's launch trailer is out, and boy is it a wild ride.

As we edge closer to the release of Rage 2 on May 14, Bethesda Softworks has released the game’s (crazy) launch trailer. It can be seen above. Like the game’s other trailers, this one is a tad bit NSFW, so be forewarned.

Full of skimpy saviors, potty-mouthed thugs, giant monsters, and gratuitous giblets, Rage 2‘s launch trailer redoubles the ass-kicking and explosions we’ve already seen. However, that’s A-OK.

What’s more important, though, is that the trailer provides a closer look at the game’s frenetic combat and pulverizing powers, such as the ground slam, shatter, and vortex grenade.

Of course, there’s also plenty of lopped limbs courtesy of the series’ infamous boomerang. From the looks of it, players will have plenty of death dealers at their disposal when everything’s said and done.

Rage 2's gameplay trailer brings the thrills and blows up the big bads.

As the only living ranger, it’s up to players to tame Rage 2‘s savagely insane world by any means necessary. To quote Walker, the game’s smarmy protagonist, this newly released gameplay trailer looks “even better than I thought.”

Earlier this year, we were able to get our hands on the newest shooter from Bethesda, id Software, and Avalanche Studios. From what we were able to play, we were left impressed, saying:

Rage 2 is Sunset Overdrive if it had a crazier and edgier cousin that loved the color pink. The open-world of the Wasteland is full of entertaining people and a lot of missions to complete besides the main story. This is a fun game.

For those playing on PC, Bethesda recently released Rage 2‘s PC specs. Unsurprisingly, the game will require the same amount of power required by other recently-released FPSes. However, 2K and 4K specifications have not yet been released.

Despite the lukewarm reception the original received, Rage 2 has quickly become one of the most anticipated shooters of 2019
