“Guh-huh!”
A recent image has been leaked online showing the possible Xbox One E3 lineup, including what appears to be a new Banjo-Kazooie game allegedly titled, Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty Land.
As we know, Microsoft did recently announce that a “historic” Rare franchise will be unveiled at this year’s E3. Microsoft Studios corporate vice president, Phil Spencer, commented:
“Fans of Rare and Rare IP I think will be pleased with what we’re going to show at E3. We had a limited amount of time today and a lot of story to tell. But Rare remains an incredibly important part of our development capability. That historic IP that they’ve built I think can play a real important role on Xbox One.”
While the photo can only provide mere speculation of what Microsoft may have to offer at this year’s E3, rumors regarding the fate of this new possible title for the Banjo-Kazooie franchise have already begun swirling around many online gaming forums.
The “Grunty Land” title is a little suspicious, and honestly sounds like the name of an amusement park…making it easy for me to believe that the game may turn into a Kinect mini-game spinoff (Oh, the horror!) But, staying positive, the name could simply be referring to a new realm set for a true Banjo platformer adventure! (Please, please, please!)
With the recent 15th anniversary of Banjo-Kazooie, this “rumor” may soon become a reality (let’s just hope we don’t get another Nuts & Bolts).
If confirmed, are you looking forward to a new Banjo-Kazooie game?
