The Forgettable Dungeon is not so forgettable. It takes a new spin on classic graphics.

Have you ever wondered what an 80’s game like Pac-Man would look like if it weren’t so flat? Say it kept the graphic and texture style, but it was more 3D? Well, a new game on Kickstarter has hit the nail on the head with this indie development project. It’s called The Forgettable Dungeon, and it will answer both of the questions I posed.

The Forgettable Dungeon is a dungeon-crawling MMO that brings a fresh new look to a classic genre and style. Developer Anthony Rotondo, who also worked on Blockland, has spent two years developing his own game. His inspirations are games like Zelda, and anything with a hack and-slash-dynamic.

The game will feature online co-op gameplay, offline split screen, customizable characters, boss fights, procedural dungeons, and even perma-death. This voxel-based game is going to start beta sometime this December, but a date has yet to be announced. The Kickstarter goal is $8,315 and it has yet to reach that, but there are 28 days to go.

If you want to back this project you can go to its Kickstarter page. To attend the beta, you will need to pledge $24. But if you just want the game, the pledge amount is $12.
