The overlapping story of Kingdom Hearts is a pretty confusing one to digest. Up until Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, fans had to prepare for the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 by playing a plethora of games on several different consoles — both home and portable. If you’re up to date on the series, Square-Enix has one last task for you before diving into the long-awaited title.
Starting today, players can update their Kingdom Heats Union χ[Cross] mobile game to play ‘Classic Kingdom’ minigames. These are based on classic Disney short films and will be playable in Kingdom Hearts 3 when it releases January 29, 2019, for PS4 and Xbox One.
Version 3.0.0 is finally here!

If players can meet certain requirements in the minigames, they’ll receive a code for the Starlight Keyblade that can be used in Kingdom Hearts 3. The codes will be distributed in-app and give fans the option to pick which console they’d like to redeem it on. The stats and additional details on the Starlight Keyblad have not been provided yet.
Kingdom Heats Union χ[Cross] is available on the App Store and the Google Play Store. The game is a prequel to the series as a whole and puts players in charge of a customized avatar fighting through Disney worlds found in the series.
