An all new adventure is coming to Hearthstone, complete with new solo missions and 45 new cards — including a special set of headwear.
What’s the League?
The League of Explorers — inspired by World of Warcraft‘s Explorer’s League — is a single-player focused expansion that will allow players to explore ancient temples filled with all the Indiana Jones-type stuff you might expect.
Founded by dwarf Brann Bronzebeard, the League consists of four characters; Bronzebeard, the human Reno Jackson, a night elf cartographer named Elise Starseeker, and a Murloc with the rather stylish name of Sir Finley Murgleton.
Looking for the Staff of Origination
The group is on a mission to find an artifact by the name of the Staff of Origination, which is divided into three parts. To find all the parts, the League will have to travel to different locations (Hearthstone wings): The Temple of Orsis, Uldaman and Stranglethorn Jungle. Once finding all the pieces, the League will have to face one more wing: the Hall of Explorers, where the staff is stolen.
A fashionable new hat
As mentioned earlier, there will 45 new cards in League of Explorers, including a stylish hunter spell titled “Explorer’s Hat”. This card gives a single minion one extra attack and one extra health, which may not seem all that special. But, there’s a bonus. When the buffed minion dies, a new Explorer’s Hat card will appear in your hand. So, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
When’s it coming?
The good news is, you really don’t have to wait long to play League of Explorers at all. The new adventure arrives in Hearthstone next Thursday, November 12.
