Additionally, the new anime series of the same name and based on the game was announced to premiere globally on April 6, 2018.

Inazuma Eleven Ares will launch for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in Summer 2018 in Japan. It is currently unknown if the game will release outside of Japan.

If the game does release outside of Japan, it will be the first in the series to release in Europe since the two-version game, Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire and Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Thunderflash, which released on March 27, 2015. It would also be the first in the series to release in North America since the enhanced Nintendo 3DS version of Inazuma Eleven, which released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on February 13, 2014, and at this time is the only game in the series to see a North American release.

If Inazuma Eleven Ares doesn’t see a release outside of Japan, interested fans will still be able to play the game due to both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch being region-free, although it would likely only have Japanese language support.
