Lies of P Release Date Trailer Revealed at Summer Game Fest, Demo Live Now

The Soulsborne take on Pinnochio has a release date and demo out right now.

If you’re a dedicated Soulsborne player like me, you might be intrigued by Lies of P. This action game thrusts you into nightmarish land where you play as the little boy with a conscience — Pinocchio. Clearly, publisher Neowiz Games realized people might want to get their hands on this after dropping the latest release date trailer at Summer Game Fest.

Lies of P didn’t just get a brand-new trailer at Summer Game Fest, it also got a release date and a demo. The demo is out today on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC, while the full game Lies of P will be out on September 19 on all the same platforms.

Those with a keen eye will notice that this is a little later than Neowiz originally planned for Lies of P. The game was originally slated for an August 2023 release window. Though, it’s only now coming a month later.

The trailer shows off the dark fantasy world of Lies of P and some of the inspired character designs, but there isn’t a ton on how it plays from this trailer. That’s where the demo comes in.

The demo gives you full access to the first two chapters of Lies of P. You’ll be able to explore the game’s primary hub area, the Hotel Krat, in this extensive demo. Bosses and exploration are all listed as features of this demo, along with “hours” of content, so expect to get a pretty hefty introductory slice of the game with this download. Even though the release is still a few months away, it’s never too early to start a hype train.
