Rockstar Games announced today that Max Payne 3 will finally be making its way to Macs after its launch on consoles and PC back in May 2012.

Max Payne is a 3rd person shooter known for its slow motion bullet time. You play as, you guessed it, Max Payne. A retired cop on a slippery slope dealing with alcoholism and an addiction to pain medication. Trying to move on from the death of his wife and daughter, he takes on one final mission that takes you through the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The PC and Mac versions of Max Payne 3 will support various graphics options. Including scalable high-resolution textures and character models, DirectX 11 features, multi-monitor support, and 3D.

Recommended specifications for Max Payne 3 are as listed:

Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion
Intel Dual Core Xeon / Core i Series 2.4GHZ or greater
4GB System RAM
NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB VRAM
