If you are a fan of retro games Mega Man or Monster Hunter then keep your eyes peeled for new titles of the franchises coming to mobile devices in the next year. Capcom announced today via its website for investor relations that it has established a “Mobile Business Division” with the goal to reorganize its mobile operations.
“Mobile content is a driver of growth in the game market as well as an important factor in Capcom’s growth strategy. Under these circumstances, Capcom [has] established its Mobile Business Division in order to grow its business in-step with the market and continue offering exciting content.”
The Japanese company stated that it will release four titles by March 31,2017. These titles will be based on the Mega Man, Monster Hunter, and Sengoku Basara franchises. If breaking candy combos on your phone is not your style and you rather hang out with Poogie or fight Dr. Wily, they has you covered.
Capcom has previously released classic Mega Man and an adapted Monster Hunter for mobile devices. These new titles are indicated as being completely new games in the series.
