The Kickstarter campaign for Jasco Games‘ officially licensed Mega Man: The Board Game came to an end over the weekend, grossing a total of $415,041. The project was backed by 2,639 Mega Man fans, and those who pledged $70 or more can expect the game in October of this year.
The board game hit Kickstarter last month and quickly exceeded its initial goal for $70,000 in funding, achieving many of its stretch goals in the process, including additional fully colored game pieces and cards. The stretch goals also include seven alternative poses for Mega Man, and some fancy Kickstarter-exclusive golden game pieces, including Cut Man, Rush, Roll, and more.
The standard version of Mega Man: The Board Game comes with boss boards and cards, challenge tokens, minion tokens, player cards, and more. Game pieces for Dr. Wily, Cut Man, Guts Man, Bomb Man, Elec Man, Ice Man, Fire Man, and Mega Man are also included. The deluxe bundle adds Time Man, Oil Man, extra Mega Man pieces, and other perks.
Jasco Games is also allowing those interested to continue donating to the project via Paypal, despite the Kickstarter campaign ending. Additional funding will go towards unlocking even more stretch goals for the board game.
