The anticipated side-scrolling shooter Mercenary Kings looks like it will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 “very soon” according to new info provided by its developer. Tribute Games, who is bringing the game to both the PS4 and PC confirmed that the game is done and ready for release. The only thing that is stopping the studio is Sony itself.
According to Tribute Games in response to a question asked on Twitter:

Hopefully Sony will get on this and get the game released sometime this month. Mercenary Kings is one of those games that we have had our eye on for a while now. It will be great to see this game get the attention it deserves, especially since it had a successful Kickstarter campaign which brought in $116,064 and we always love to see Kickstarter projects do well.
No official release date has come from Sony itself. However, if you want to get your hands on it early, you can buy an early-access build on Steam.
