Codemasters is bringing back the 90’s multiplayer favorite, Micro Machines. The new installment of this beloved series will be coming out on April 21st, 2017, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Back in 2014, there was a spiritual sequel to the series called Toybox Turbo, developed by Codemasters, which received mostly positive critical feedback.
The above trailer doesn’t show any of Micro Machines World Series’ gameplay, but it does confirm the inclusion of classic courses such as the kitchen, garden, and workshop.
Team-based gameplay modes such as Capture the Flag and King of the Hill are confirmed for the new battle arenas. Here, the goal of the players is to blow up the opposition.
The last thing confirmed in this trailer is support from HASBRO toy brands — meaning brands like GI Joe, Hungry Hippos and NERF may have a presence in the game.
Micro Machines: World Series will be released both physically and digitally across all platforms it’s available on.
