Minecraft was released three years ago on the Xbox 360. The game’s third birthday is on May 9 and to help celebrate it Microsoft is giving away three skin packs. Microsoft is also re-releasing the game’s first and second birthday packs. The new birthday game pack features veteran Mojangstas and some unannounced extras.
According to Microsoft, there are 20 million players that are playing both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game. The Xbox One version of Minecraft was originally released September 5, 2014.
Minecraft’s skin pack from last year featured characters such as Conker, Master Chief, Viva Pinata, and other Microsoft-owned characters. We will have to see when the extras are announced. The first two birthday packs will be available on the Xbox One version of the game for the first time. The skins for the game are available now until May 17 for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
