According to Warner Bros., we can expect a North American release of August 22, 2017 and a European release on August 25th. That means it’s just right around the corner.

So, what do we know so far about Shadow of War?

In Shadow of War, Talion wields a new Ring of Power and the player can expect to do battle against some of the most fearsome foes from the Lord of the Rings universe — the Nazgul, the fearsome ringwraiths of old, and even The Dark Lord Sauron himself.

Players will also get to experience a more robust and updated Nemesis System, that encompasses all of the NPCs Shadow of War has to offer — including your new followers.

David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, had the following to say about Shadow of War:

“Monolith Productions continues to innovate by introducing deeper, more personalized gameplay experiences, coupled with authentic storytelling.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War truly drives the genre forward by taking the Nemesis System to new heights and allowing players to create their own personal journey within Middle-earth.”

From Atari 2600 to TTRPG and beyond I game, therefore I am. Can generally be found DMing D&D on the weekend, homebrewing beer, or tripping over stuff in my house while playing VR. Hopeful for something *Ready Player One* meets *S.A.O Nerve Gear* before I kick the bucket.
