Monster Hunter 4 may not see the light of day outside of Asian markets, but the Ultimate version sure will. Capcom announced yesterday the enhanced Ultimate version of the game will be making its way to the West on the Nintendo 3DS in early 2015.
Monster Hunter 4 brings a number of improvements over previous entries to the series, particularly in terms of movement, graphics, and interacting with the environment. True to other ‘improved’ editions of games in the series, 4 Ultimate will bring further enhancements with its release.
The original version of Monster Hunter 4 was released in September of last year in Japan, and sold 2.8 million units in its first month. 4 Ultimate will release in Japan as Monster Hunter 4G in Autumn 2014.
Unlike Tri Ultimate, which saw a Wii U release along with the Nintendo 3DS, 4 Ultimate will be Nintendo 3DS exclusive. A sore loss for Wii U owners hoping for some more love from Capcom, but still a win for the fans of the series.
